Booking a trip to NYC is stressful

Let me guess…

You just pulled up 3 other tabs of other tour companies and you have 20 other things on your to do list to try and make the most of your limited time in NYC.

You want to see the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Wall Street + 500 other sites but you only have a few days here.

We do things a little differently here because we know how stressful and overwhelming booking a trip to NYC can be.

Why it’s so stressful

New York City is unlike any place on earth…

There are endless interesting things to see and do and you are destined to have some Fear of Missing Out no matter how you book your trip.

Unlike most cities in the United States - the sites in NYC that you want to see are spread across a 300 square mile city and planning a trip can be overwhelming for most.

Do you go to Brooklyn to have original NY style Pizza or do you visit the botanical Gardens in the Bronx?

Do you spend a day in Central Park or wander around the Lower East Side?

There are so many tradeoffs when you book a trip for yourself and it takes dozens of hours to make an informed decision.

What most people do (and it’s a mistake)

Most people in your shoes get overwhelmed and come to the conclusion that it will be easier to just do a bus tour.

This seems like a good idea right?

You think to yourself: “I can see lots of the city, I get to check them off the bucket list, and I don’t have to navigate NYC alone.”

You are not wrong - we used to tour people around NYC like this - in large 30+ person buses and we came to learn…

There are major problems with taking a bus tour in NYC:

  • You don’t actually get to see much - Most bus tours only get to see 5 or 6 major sites because it takes so long to shuffle 25+ people between bathroom breaks and lunch stops.

  • You move around NYC like a battleship. The streets of New York were built for horses and buggies not 50 person buses. Navigating in these behemoths can take hours.

  • If you sit in the back of the bus - good luck hearing anything.

Here’s what we do:

We take guests on entirely private and fully customizable tours of NYC in a Luxury Sprinter Van or SUV with a Separate Professional Driver and Separate Private Guide.

We only do Private Tours because it is the only way to experience this city and have it truly be unforgettable.

Why book a Private Tour of NYC:

  1. Outsource the planning. Have a quick phone call with Sheldon (that’s me) - our Lead Tour Guide and Owner and he’ll craft the perfect custom itinerary for you.

  2. You can see as much in 5 hours as you would in 5 days on your own. Because you have a separate driver and guide - you can zip around the city and get out wherever you want. An average tour with us hits 25 - 30 major sites in NYC.

  3. Drive up to the sight and get out with your private guide. This is a big deal since so much time is wasted on Bus Tours just getting to the sites.

  4. You’ll feel like a New Yorker for a day. You’ll be touring with a native New Yorker - a person with deep knowledge of this city but also someone who is excited to learn from you and answer your questions.

Example itinerary of a tour we did this week:

  • 9AM or 10AM: Pick up at hotel (we pick up from any hotel in Manhattan). We can also start at any time.

Pricing

I’m sure you’ll be surprised to know we don’t do these for free (although if I didn’t need money to live I would do these for free because I really enjoy doing it).

I’ve owned and operated several types of businesses in my life and I like to be super transparent with pricing and why we price things the way they are.

The truth is - our tours are not cheap - they are a premium luxury experience and if you are looking for a $80 per person 3 hour bus tour - we are not for you.

All our tours include:

  • A Licensed Expert NYC Tour Guide (we have 15 - we’ll match you to the perfect one based on your interests)

  • A Separate Licensed Professional Driver

  • Pickup and drop-off at your hotel or Airbnb in Manhattan

  • Luxury SUV or Mercedes Sprinter

Each tour can accommodate 1-13 guests. If you have more than 13 guests give us a call: 516 - 578 - 9124.

We simply price our tours by the hour - not by the number of guests. 1-13 people - same price.

We offer 4,5,6 and 7 hour tours.

Our 4 hour tour costs $1,297.

How to decide how many hours?

Give us a call: 516 - 578 - 9124

After we understand what you want to see and do we can give you a good estimate of how long it would take.

Here’s an easy way to think about it:

4 hour tour = 4 days of touring around NYC on your own.

5 hour tour = 5 days of touring around NYC on your own.

Etc…

I know this sounds crazy but it’s true.

I’ve come to learn after spending time with 10,000+ NYC tourists that the average person traveling around NYC will see 2-3 sites in a single day. Compare that to on an average 5 hour tour where we will see 25-30 sites.

About us

If you have gotten this far and read this whole thing - first of all - thank you.

It’s rare to find people these days that actually want to read so I appreciate you.

The most memorable tours I’ve taken in my own travels have been with tour guides who not only are incredibly knowledgable about the place but they also have stories of their own to share.

I’ve been giving tours of this city for the last 2 decades and I absolutely love doing it.

I am also incredibly fortunate to work with 15 other tour guides who love and appreciate this city as much as I do and enjoy sharing it with others.
